Process
Step 1: Contact me for a chat
Using the 'contact' tab, drop me a line so we can have a chat. If you've written your book and wouldn't mind me reading the manuscript, this really helps me to get a feel of your story and characters. Share your story and vision, and we can discuss ideas for the illustrations and work out pricing.
Step 2: Arrange booking
When you're happy that I am the right illustrator for you, and we've decided on a plan, we decide on a start date and then I will email you an invoice for the deposit (half of the over all cost, with the remainder to be paid upon completion), and once that's paid, your booking is secure!..
Step 3: Start date
When your start date arrives, I will drop you a line to let you know that I'm about to begin, and will check that I have all of the information needed. I will need to know specific sizing for each image, and exactly what you'd like each image to include.
Step 4: Sketches
I will create sketches of each scene, and send them to you for approval or amendment.
Step 4: Final images
When you're happy with the sketches, I then draw them up into finished linework. We discuss colour choices and I will colour, shade and highlight the images to make them stand out vibrantly.
