Helen/Scotty, the scruffy mutt
The scruffy mutt next to the cute guy is me. I'm Helen King, and my maiden name was Scott, hence the 'Scotty's Cartoons'. I happily answer to either Helen or Scotty, so just use whichever you're most comfortable with.
I cartooned for fun back when I was a nipper, but didn't start again until 2009. By 2011 I was hooked, and set up in business as 'Scotty's Cartoons' as a professional cartoonist.
Family, Dogs and Cartooning, are my three big passions, so it made perfect sense a couple of years later, to specialise as a family dog cartoonist!
Jasper, the cocker spaniel
The cute guy is Jasper. He was a crazy, gorgeous blue roan cocker spaniel. He is the reason that I'm a dog cartoon illustrator.
Heartbreakingly, Jasper went over rainbow bridge on 10/03/2020, aged 14. As well as being our best friend, Jasper was the source of many of the ideas for my gag cartoons. He forever lives on in our hearts, and also as the face of Scotty's Cartoons...
...Now meet this little lady. This is Sadie. Pure happy natured mischief, sweetness and a nervous bundle all rolled into one.
She has more brains than is good for her (or for us!) She ensures that I have regular rest breaks from drawing, by repeatedly nose booping my drawing arm when I've been drawing for too long. And also when I haven't..!
