Happily, I can finally show you the finished artwork of 51 dogs in a pet portrait scene, hurrah!

It was a lovely accomplishment to get it finished and extra lovely for it to be received so well by the client. Each one of her 51 dogs mean the world to her, so it was important to me to portray them in a way that she recognized each of their personalities and brought them to life in the image.

I’m now preparing a huge A1 sized print of it that will be making it’s way to the client’s home very soon!

With my pet portrait scenes for multiple dogs, a lot of the preparation time goes into ensuring that the dogs are interacting with each other and that that communication comes across well. It was a whole new challenge doing this with 51 dogs, and I learnt a lot from the issues that I faced and overcame during the process. I absolutely loved doing this commission, and hope that you do too!

So, without further waffle, here is the finished cartoon!

Over the coming days I will be sharing on social media, a breakdown of different parts of the cartoon alongside the photos and personality of each dog, so that you can see why I chose each scenario for each of my clients gorgeous dogs.

If you’d like the kind of pet portrait that your dog would choose if they had opposable thumbs, then drop me a line here!
